DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department is investigating the use of counterfeit currency at several businesses in Doylestown Borough.
At around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14, two black males and one black female entered Doylestown Produce and used counterfeit bills to purchase items in the store, police said.
One man was wearing a red and blue hooded sweatshirt with a black coat on top and fur edging on the hood, while the other man was wearing light colored jeans and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, authorities said. The woman was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with an orange skull on the front.
Anyone knowing the identity of the suspects or the owner of the vehicle can contact Officer James DiBenedetto at 215-345-4143 or submit an anonymous tip online.
The department is asking other local businesses in the borough to be aware of these activities.
