TROY, MI — A Troy gym has been cited and fined for violating Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules implemented during the coronavirus pandemic, state officials said Friday.
The Powerhouse Gym at 2585 Livernois was cited and fined $700 for lacking a preparedness and response plan, failing to conduct the daily health screening including a questionnaire and failing to require face coverings when social distancing could not be maintained, according to MIOSHA officials.
A general duty citation — which is what was issued against the Powerhouse Gym — can carry a fine of up to $7,000, officials said.

Cited businesses have 15 working days from receipt of the MIOSHA citations to contest the violations and penalties, according to the state.
