Basic Pistol Skills Class - Become familiar with your handgun, and learn how to use it. Do you have a handgun and want to learn how to use it? Maybe you don't own one yet, and you want to learn more before you go to buy something. Are you feeling a bit intimidated by your handgun, and you want to get past that feeling? This class teaches basic skills with handguns (pistols and revolvers). We will walk you through loading, proper grip, sight alignment, trigger control, and firing. This class is a mixture of learning and doing. Our instructors are highly trained, and they are patient. You won't feel intimidated. We will be there to guide you so that your skills and comfort level improve. Our goal is for you to leave class with a better understanding of how to use a handgun, and for you to learn practical skills that may help save your life one day. This class is taught by Scott Magaw and Bill Kennedy. Scott is a 25 year law enforcement officer, police firearms trainer, and nationally certified handgun and rifle trainer. Bill is a former police sergeant, SC state wide police instructor, and current National Rifle Association instructor.
