Description
If you have to ask for animals, you're not a rescue. If you have to ask for supplies, you're not in the financial position to rescue. If you've only ever had entry level reptiles, you can't rescue. If you're not listed as a nonprofit, YOURE NOT A RESCUE.
you're just another hobbyist who wants free pets.
Do NOT give up your reptiles to people who claim this! If you find yourself wanting/needing to... Ask them:
- what are their quarantine procedures?
- what species have they directly worked with?
- what reptile illnesses have they personally dealt with and overcome?
- what enclosure do they plan to keep your reptile in? Can they prove it? Is it escape proof, and can it provide the necessary husbandry requirements for your pet?
- are they ASKING for free pets?
- will they show you their current rescues?
The minnesota herpetological society is probably a better option, or rehoming to an educated enthusiast. Stay safe. Don't trust liars.
