Meet the Alaska Zoo's moose, reindeer and Sitka deer up close with a zookeeper! Encounters include feedings, enrichment and more. Would you like to connect the dots between all three deer species at the Alaska Zoo? Reserve a date for this encounter, a fun one-hour walking experience to meet zoo moose, reindeer, and Sitka black-tailed deer up close with a zookeeper. Participants will help to feed, offer enrichment, hear personal zookeeping stories of the animals and learn what goes on behind the scenes with their care. There will be great opportunities for photos, too! Encounter rates are $285 each plus service fees. Encounters are available Tuesdays through Sundays at 10am through the end of May 2021. Each encounter is one hour and advance registration is required. The encounter rate allows you and three invited guests to participate. Masks are required to be worn at all times by participants. Encounter participants must be age 9 and older.
