GREENFIELD, WI — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes. This submission comes from Elena Wolter, who nominated her mother Tania, who is working hard as a registered nurse. Where the nominee lives: Greenfield Where the person who nominated the hero lives: Greenfield Name of the nominee: Tania Wolter Name of the person who nominated the hero: Elena Wolter Is the nominee considered an "essential worker"?: Yes What does the nominee do for work?: She is a Registered Nurse Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored? I believe my mom should be nominated because even through these tough times she has been pulling through and even helping out some of her colleagues. We both painted kindness rocks to be sent to her hospital for anyone that needs a little bit of positivity through these times. My mom also arranged for cookies to be brought to her work for all of her coworkers who are also treating patients on the frontlines as well. What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?: Tania is very caring towards other people and has always wanted to help out in any way she can.
