GREENFIELD, WI—All Greenfield elementary schools will transition back to a virtual learning model beginning Monday, November 16. The School District of Greenfield said they based the decision on the number of staff and student in quarantine due to coronavirus. There is a limited pool of substitute teachers available across the area and the current staffing reality impacts the district's ability to properly supervise students, according to the School District. The District will move forward with fully virtual teaching and learning across all four elementary schools from Monday until November 30. Principals will follow-up with families to provide more detail on the transition back to virtual learning, along with the specifics on the continuation of providing meal services to all students inthe District, according to a media alert. "As always, we thank our families and community members for their patience and understanding as we take this action to protect the health and safety of our school district community," the School District wrote in a statement to the media.
