LYNNWOOD, WA — Two children are dead after a two-alarm fire ignited at a Lynnwood townhouse Sunday afternoon. South County Fire crews responded to the 6700 block of 196th Street Southwest shortly before 3:30 p.m. Fire officials confirmed to multiple media outlets that both victims were children, but further details were not immediately available. Smoke still coming from the roof of Lynnwood Townhouse Apartments, we've also learned a child was taken to the hospital. A neighbor tells me she came up the street and saw a towering plume of smoke and flames shooting out above the building #KOMONews pic.twitter.com/Bx9Zr1EHfq— Cole Miller (@ColeMillerTV) November 3, 2019BREAKING: Fire officials say two children have died in a fire at this townhouse complex in Lynnwood #Q13FOX pic.twitter.com/EvHyCXpQxe— Jennifer Lee (@JennLeeTV) November 3, 2019 Update #3: 2 children found dead after fire at Lynnwood apt — 3rd child who's around 11 years old escaped burning unit and was transported to hospital for smoke exposure. @KIRO7Seattle https://t.co/nHVlxOUU79— Michael Spears (@MichaelKIRO7) November 4, 2019 Just received word of a fire in a townhouse on 196th Street Southwest in Lynnwood, in area of 64th Avenue West.
