LYNNWOOD, WA — Two children are dead after a two-alarm fire ignited at a Lynnwood townhouse Sunday afternoon. South County Fire crews responded to the 6700 block of 196th Street Southwest shortly before 3:30 p.m. Fire officials confirmed to multiple media outlets that both victims were children, but further details were not immediately available. KIRO 7 reported a third child escaped and was taken to the hospital by medics. An investigation into the fire's cause continues.
