Description

EDMONDS, WA — Edmonds detectives released new pictures of a suspect vehicle in the Feb. 21 shooting death of a 7-Eleven clerk. This investigation is the Edmonds Police Department's number one priority, they said in a release. See all of the photos above. Investigators said they learned the man seen on surveillance fled the store to a waiting vehicle, driven by another person. That vehicle, a white four-door sedan, drove east onto 238th, before making its way onto 76th Avenue West and heading east toward the county line. Detectives are asking anyone with home surveillance systems in that area to check their footage from Feb. 21, between 4:45 a.m. and 5:05 a.m. The victim was identified by the medical examiner as Nagendiram Kandasamy. An online fundraiser for his family has raised over $35,000. "Mr. Kandasamy was a loving a dedicated husband and father whose family is desperate for closure," Sgt. Josh McClure said. "The motive for this horrific act is still being investigated." Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound and 7-Eleven are offering a joint reward of $11,000 for tips leading to the arrest and charging of a suspect in this case. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or submit a tip on their app or website. Tipsters can also contact the police department at 425-771-0212. Police said anyone who sees a person they believe to be the suspect should not approach him and call 911 instead. #UPDATE Please see the link and updated photos for new information on the homicide investigation of Mr. Kandasamy. https://t.co/zszJeR7S8A @catchwmw @CrimeStopPuget pic.twitter.com/zRTruVScDg— Edmonds Police Department (@EdmondsPolice) February 27, 2020
