EDMONDS, WA — Edmonds Police have arrested a 24-year-old Lynnwood man suspected in several recent car prowls in Snohomish County. According to investigators, officers were patrolling a residential neighborhood early Monday morning after several recent break-ins were reported in the area. Police said a sergeant spotted the suspect around 2 a.m. riding a stolen bicycle. The man ran away on-foot, beginning an hourslong search involving several officers and police K9s. According to police, the suspect was tracked to a motel room off Highway 99, where officers served a search warrant and arrested the man, along with a woman wanted on an unrelated warrant. Investigators said more than ten bags of stolen property were recovered inside the motel room, including jewelry, electronics, mail and prescriptions.
