Description

Hello! My name is Nhu Nguyen and I am a college student at the University of Washington who lives in your neighborhood. I'm volunteering for TeleHealth Access for Seniors (telehealthforseniors.org), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization collecting used video-enabled devices to donate to community health clinics for patients in need. The COVID-19 crisis is worsening and elderly populations are still in need of medical care. Many providers have switched to TeleHealth services to keep providing care. But, many elderly patients do not have camera-enabled devices or know how to use TeleHealth apps. We are providing the devices along with guides on how to use TeleHealth apps and FaceTime, how to order grocery delivery, and how to order pharmacy delivery. We also provide virtual tech-support to help seniors. Our organization has already donated over 900 devices across the country, but we need thousands more to fulfill demand. Our Washington chapter is currently working to fulfill demand at the International Community Health Services (ICHS) clinics! If you have any old, video-enabled devices like iPhones (4+), iPads, Androids, tablets, etc. that you no longer need and are willing to donate, I can coordinate with you for contactless pickup! Your generosity can have a huge impact on patients in need. All you need to do is fill out this quick Google Form (https://forms.gle/CWb2KF27HDNFv2ZW9). We are also collecting donations through GoFundMe (https://gf.me/u/x5hfv3) if you'd like to contribute but don't have devices to donate. These funds are helping us buy missing chargers, purchase cheap tablets to fill gaps in device donations, and more! Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thank you very much for reading this message, and I hope to hear from you soon! Kindest regards, Nhu Nguyen
