Local author with an entertaining new book

Hi, I'm Ron DeFore--retired in Haymarket after many careers--and have written a new book, "Growing Up in Disneyland" that's received almost all 5-star reviews (out of 5) on Amazon. No, it's not all about Walt's famous park, although 3 chapters are dedicated to that subject. The title is a metaphor for my life growing up in a Hollywood celebrity family but also literal as my Dad was the only person to ever own a concession in Disneyland bearing the name of a real person, "Don DeFore's Silver Banjo Barbecue" restaurant in Frontierland. If you don't recognize his name you might recognize him as "Mr. B" on the "Hazel" TV series of the 1960s or as "Thorny" Ozzie and Harriet's next-door neighbor or the many feature films in which he co-starred that are played on the vintage movie channels. In Fact, Turner Movie Channel (TCM) scheduled a Don DeFore tribute day on May 28.
