Pinellas Organizations To Host Vaccine Panel Discussion Jan. 25

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — A virtual panel discussion examining the coronavirus vaccine and related vaccines will be held Jan. 25 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The discussion, "From Hesitancy to Acceptance: COVID-19 Vaccine," will be presented on Zoom. Those interested can register here. Vaccine availability and safety, policies and rollouts, hesitancy, concerns and myths and other topics will be addressed. The program will be focused on Pinellas County with an emphasis on underserved communities. Participants will be able to submit questions in advance or during the event. The panel will be moderated by Gwendolyn Reese (president of the African American Heritage Association of St. Petersburg.) The panelists will be Dr. Allison Messina and Dr. David Berman (pediatric infectious disease specialists) Dr. Lindsey Grove (public health expert) and Andrea Peaten (community immunization liaison.) The event is sponsored by a coalition of Pinellas organizations: African American Heritage Association of St. Petersburg, Allendale United Methodist Church, Black Health Equality Alliance, Fired Up Pinellas, Foundation for Healthy St. Petersburg, Indivisible FL-13, Indivisible Safety Harbor/North Pinellas, League of Women Voters and Women Talk Black. Reservations are required for this Zoom presentation. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions through the moderator.
