MILFORD, MA — The coronavirus vaccine roll out in Massachusetts has been slow and a bit confusing, according to some officials, but the Milford Board of Health is aiming to help residents find out when it's their turn.
The town on Friday set up an online portal where residents can go to sign up for a notification when it's time to get a vaccine.
At this point, COVID-19 vaccines are only available to certain groups, including first responders, health workers and those living in senior and congregate care facilities. But as the months go on, more groups will become eligible to attend a free vaccine clinic.
Under the state's plan, most people will be eligible to get a vaccine between April and June. A second phase of the distribution will begin in February, and is open to people over age 65, people who have two or more preexisting conditions and front line workers, among other groups.
