You asked the following. Lets break it up to hopefully answer your questions: Hi - this may sound weird but I have some questions that maybe you could help with. To start, I'm just starting to pay more attention to politics. Have always voted Republican - but I guess I just studied and paid attention on the fringe of issues. I'm paying more attention now- 1st) First off I get confused about who is telling the truth and are both parties listening to each other. A: Both sides are somewhat telling the truth, listen to both sides and where they overlap (say the same thing) is usually the truth, and NO they are not listening to each other, one side is to far right and the other has gone to far left. The Moderates (In the Middle) of both sides which is where the average American is, are being belittled and screamed at until they just don't say anything. 2) With that being said - one big thing I just don't understand is how Biden is issuing this "request" that everyone wear a mask for 100 days - it's not a law - and as before, law enforcement isn't making it a priority to enforce so. A: In the U.S. we are a Free People which gives us more rights than other Countries, in the U.S. the Government works for us and as such can not tell us what we have to do for the most part. As a people we have made rules and laws that we think make life easier and that is a different subject al together. Basically the Government can ASK you to but they can't force you to except on government owned property just like a private property owner can make rules for his property. 3) 1)how does he think that is going to change anything- it seems to me that the people who aren't wearing them now because of their beliefs won't start wearing them. A: It won't, if masks and shut downs actually worked than California and New York would be Covid Free and they aren't, they are at all time highs. 3) 2) if Biden is so gung-ho on getting Covid under control, how does the fact that he intends to open the borders and stop the building of the walls going to NOT affect the Covid situation from getting worse. Surely not all those immigrants and 100% free of Covid or some other disease. A: He hasn't thought that far ahead. He is ONLY worried about Votes and that is the sad part about politics. Votes count for more than a persons health in this country, it used to not be that way. 3) 3) how can he balance the stopping of the pipeline and leaving thousands of US citizens without a job (not to mention all the US people already unemployed and businesses) with letting thousands and thousands of immigrants into the US A: There again he is only looking at votes and it is well known if you give people things instead of making them work for it they will vote for you. If one guy says you need to work and the other guys says you don't and I will just give you everything who would you Vote for? 3)3b) who's going to feed them, medical, housing, monitor criminals that come in, etc.?? oh, I guess that's a silly question - US citizens are going to foot the bill. A: You answered that one yourself 4)I am a Christian and believe in helping our fellow man but this whole situation just seems out of whack- especially since US citizens should be a priority- and Biden wants to bring in more people to be unemployed -add to the welfare lines and no doubt with the influx there will be thieves, criminals, non-productive, and uneducated people. I've been watch the news and it seems that woman who is Biden's spokesperson is asked those questions, she just skirts around it and moves on to someone else asking a question. A: You are correct it is out of whack and the U.S. should think of its Citizens first. You should as a country or household fix home first and then you can help others, but trying to do it in reverse never works because you always leave someone out that you should have helped. If you look at other countries they pretty much all say if you want to move there you have to have a verifiable income source so you don't end up on there welfare system. It is again mostly for votes. Hopefully this answered a few questions. Neither side is as Evil as the News puts it out there. The news has an agenda and usually it is ratings. Right now both sides have just forgotten their base, and have started listening to the extreme sides (Far Left, Far right) and its sad, Just look around your group and see if you really think everyone is prejudice against others. I personally don't see it, and I think you will see the same.
