AUSTIN, TX—Begin the new year revisiting the advice of an 11th century Buddhist Master who demonstrated how to use Buddha's teaching to transform lives. Kadampa Meditation Center in Austin will host their virtual Prayers for World Peace - Buddhist Advise for a Better New Year, a live-stream event to enjoy from the comfort of home. Scheduled Sunday, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. with resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Wangpo, you'll gain insight on advice that easily fits with daily life. The online event will offer a gentle, solution-oriented approach to solving the most pressing problems and help experience peace and happiness. You'll learn how changing habits can improve lives. Classes offer teaching, guided meditations, and an opportunity to discuss and ask questions, and is followed by a virtual social time to chat with spiritual friends. Participants may drop in at any time if not able to attend the entire series. Classes held weekly, and you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend or benefit from the techniques taught.
