SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. An arrest is not evidence of guilt, and criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. INCIDENTS AGGRAVATED ROBBERYSomeone who indicated they were armed robbed the Mobil gas station at Skokie Boulevard and Main Street shortly after 6 p.m. on Jan. 9. No suspect had been identified at the time of the report. HATE CRIMEPolice established a special watch at Hebrew Theological College, 7135 Carpenter Road, after an unidentified person threatened the college over the phone and made anti-Semitic statements. BURGLARIES Around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 14, someone broke into the AT&T Wireless store, 5238 Touhy Avenue. It was not clear what, if anything was stolen. Someone tried to break into a home in the 5000 block of Howard Street around 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 17 but they were unsuccessful.STOLEN CARS Someone stole a Kia SUV from the 8600 block of St. Louis Avenue between midnight and 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 12. Police did not specify if the car was locked.Between 8 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 11:13 a.m. on Jan. 12, someone stole a possibly unlocked car from the 9500 block of Skokie Boulevard.Someone stole a car from the 3600 block of Oakton Street at some point between Dec. 1 and Jan. 12. A person police have already identified stole a car from the 7900 block of Crawford Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 13. No associated arrest has been announced.CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS On Jan. 11, someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota parked in the 9300 block of Williamsburg Road shortly after 4:45 a.m.At some point between 5 p.m. Jan. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 11, someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota parked in front of a home in the 8400 block of Springfield Avenue.A catalytic converter was also stolen from a car in the 8300 block of Christiana Avenue between 7 p.m. Jan. 10 and 1 p.m. Jan. 11.Between 3 p.m. Jan. 10 and 8:34 p.m. Jan. 12, someone targeted a Honda parked behind a home in the 8300 block of Christiana Avenue for another catalytic converter theft.Someone stole a catalytic converter from a car parked in the 7400 block of Keeler Avenue between 6 p.m. Jan. 10 and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 12.At some point between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Jan. 13, someone stole a catalytic converter from a car in the 8200 block of Lowell Avenue. A catalytic converter thief struck again between 5 p.m. Jan. 13 and 10:30 Jan. 14, this time taking the part off a Toyota in the 5100 block of Birchwood Avenue.Someone stole a catalytic converted from a car in the 7900 block of Niles Avenue between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 13 and 6 a.m. Jan. 14.Between 11:10 p.m. Jan. 13 and 5:45 a.m. on Jan. 14, someone stole a catalytic converter from a car parked in the 8100 block of Kilpatrick Avenue.Someone cut off a catalytic converter from a Toyota in the 7800 block of Lowell Avenue between 7 p.m. Jan. 13 and 3 p.m. Jan. 14. Marszalek, 29, of the 1500 block of West Richmond Street, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at Skokie Hospital on an active arrest warrant. Corey C. Codd, 21, of the 500 block of Powell Avenue, Waukegan, was arrested around 4 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 2600 block of South California Avenue, Chicago, and charged with one count of forgery. Omarion Z. Franklin, 18, of the 2100 block of North Lavergne Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 11 a.m. on Jan. 14 in the 2600 block of South California Avenue, Chicago, and charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated kidnapping and armed robbery. No further information about the circumstances of his arrest was immediately available from police. Elvis Premti, 39, of the first block of Temple Court, Winnetka, was arrested shortly before 3 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the Old Orchard Mall and charged with three counts of aggravated battery to police, two counts of criminal damage to property, one count of resisting arrest and one count of assault. No further information about the nature of the incident that led to the charges was immediately available. Joel V. Tutor, 22, of the 8000 block of Kenton Avenue, Skokie, was arrested around 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with endangering the life or health of a child.
