Lynda Nash holds the position of the Harker Heights City Council Place 4 as well as a 20-year retired United States Army Veteran. She was born in Syracuse New York, raised in Fayetteville North Carolina and has lived in Harker Heights for the last 18 years. Ms. Nash is retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs. She has served as an Election Judge for the Board of Elections of Bell County as well as Precinct Captain for the Bell County Democratic Party and is certified as a Voter Registrar for the State of Texas. Additionally, Ms. Nash is the founder of the Non-Profit organization, “I am my Grandparents Keeper” and is the Chief Executive Director for the Harker Heights Community Resource Center. She is a community activist for the youth, elderly and disenfranchised. Ms. Nash is a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist and is an active member in several organizations and committees such as “Divas & Dog Tags”, Woven, Star Group, Women Army Corps(WAC), Bell County COVID 19 Task Force, Texas Hunger Initiative, the Harker Heights Lions Club, Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, VFW Post 3892, Bell County Community Task Force.
