The Blackshear Police Department will be hosting a two-part Citizens Firearms Training featuring classroom and live fire instruction. The Blackshear Police Department will be hosting a two-part Citizens Firearms Training featuring classroom and live fire instruction. The classroom portion is scheduled for Thursday, January 28th from 6-8:30 p.m. Those attending the class will be scheduled for a one hour block of live fire handgun training throughout Saturday, January 30th at the Blackshear Police Range. Targets will be provided and each participant should bring their personally owned handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition. The classroom instruction will focus on firearms laws & safety, fundamentals of shooting, and personal defense. The class is free and limited to Pierce County residents.
