A lovely Biodiversity walk at Fresh Pond recording how seasons pass and shape our plants and wildlife in a beautiful reservation. Join Claire and Earthwise Aware (EwA) citizen scientists for a casual walk focusing on observing and recording the incredible biodiversity of the Fresh Pond Reservation. With these walks and through the EwA photo documentation using the iNaturalist platform, we contribute to biodiversity science while enjoying together the outdoors in this beautiful urban park. No expertise required / beginners welcome! You can prepare for the walk by downloading the iNaturalist app and creating a free account . Check out the 'EwA at Fresh Pond' iNaturalist project to see 800+ species that we documented so far in the reservation. Send us your iNaturalist username, and you'll get the change to have your observations count in our studies! COVID-19 times call for a Courtesy Rule for Free Events like ours: For obvious public safety reasons, we’re limiting the size of our events, so please we ask you to follow a register-and-commit rule . � Due to a very high ratio of attendees not showing up to free events (70%), we now have to ask for your confirmation a week prior. If we don't receive this confirmation, we will have to cancel your ticket to give it to someone else on our waiting list. Park on the street, and meet us at the rocks close to the reservoir bordering the meadow - we'll wait a few minutes and then start moving. ◇ What to Wear & Bring : Masks are mandatory. Although these will be slow-paced hikes, please dress appropriately and consider wearing long pants (for the possibility of ticks, poison ivy etc.) and sturdy hiking shoes. Bring water.
