Looking to hire a creative percussionist/singer to play a handful of paid gigs at the Worthington Golf Club this summer.
I play guitar and sing and am looking for a wingman who wants to have some fun, make a few bucks and finally do some playing.
Must be able to sing harmonies as needed and ideally play other instruments as well.
Djembe, small kit, more cowbell, creative ideas are all welcome but we will go with just the two of us at first so variety will help. If it works we can always add other guys later.
Tight mid to late 60s track. Beatles, Who, Moodies, Doors, Byrds, Hollies, Zombies, one hitters. Don’t want to deviate too far and if we do it must make sense. Badfinger, Smithereens, ELO, Gin Blossoms might make sense if you are tracking with me.
Not concerned with doing songs like the record. More of an Open Mic coffee house jam kinda feel with an edge. Less stress and more fun.
We will play 4-6 paid gigs plus 2-3 practices included in that arrangement. Not a lot of pressure but we want to sound good. Vocals will take most work. I am not a guitar hero and long solos or arrangements ain’t happening.
I am in late 50s but age should be no barrier. A younger guy who wants to dig into old guy music would be welcome.
Hit me up with an e-mail and include a Facebook or Youtube page or something of you playing and singing, if you have one.
Peace.
