SILVER SPRING, MD — The Flower Avenue Liquor and Wine store is temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19, Montgomery County officials said. The county's Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) was made aware of the positive test on Wednesday, according to a press release, and the store was closed immediately. The employee's last day at work was Monday. "Before reopening a specialized team will be brought in to disinfect the store," the press release stated. "This deep cleaning involves chemical fogging and manual wiping down of all products and high contact surfaces in the store." County officials have not announced a tentative reopening date for the store, which is located at 8706-B Flower Ave. in Silver Spring.
