ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD — The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center is hosting training events from Jan. 11 to 22 producing activity that may be heard or noticed outside the installation.
These operations are not hazardous to nearby communities and are integral to the training for service members at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) to ensure military preparedness, officials said in a statement.
Military weapons and watercraft may be visible during the daytime and nighttime hours, and those nearby may hear weapons firing and see flashes of light off post.
APG leaders monitor the weather and the noise readings continuously throughout each day to gauge training exercises accordingly.
