SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A 70-year-old man was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle in San Francisco's Mission District on Tuesday night, police said. The accident was reported around 8:30 p.m. in the area of 24th Street and San Jose Avenue, just west of the 24th Street Mission BART station. A vehicle traveling along 24th Street reportedly hit the man as he was using a crosswalk. The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening, police said. No arrest was made in connection with the collision, and police did not release any details about the driver who struck the pedestrian. Bay City News contributed to this report.
