Marshals Search For NH Sex Offender With Lengthy Criminal History

CONCORD, NH — The U.S. Marshals-New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is attempting to find a registered sex offender who is wanted by two departments and is accused of failure to appear in superior court. Jay Gardner Jordan is 36, about 6 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighs 220 lbs. He has green eyes and blonde hair. Jordan has tattoos on his right calf, right front arm, upper left arm, and a scar on under his left eye. Jordan is wanted by the Franklin Police Department for failure to register as a sex offender and the Coos County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on a failure to register charge in Lancaster, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal. "Jordan is required to register as a sex offender due to two prior convictions of indecent exposure and lewdness," he said. "Jordan was last registered as homeless in Franklin. Jordan's criminal history dates back to 2003 when he was a teenager and convicted on a fraudulent use of a credit card charge — a charge he was convicted on again in 2004. He has also been convicted of burglary, theft, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, loitering or prowling, receiving stolen property, shoplifting, breach of bail, and failure to register.
