Description
I am a mid-30s female professional, versatile vocalist seeking a proficient and creative guitar player/singer for an acoustic duo project. I've got chops and experience. Happy to send recordings. Looking to do mostly covers but very open to doing originals down the line. I’m particularly interested in crafting our own arrangements of unexpected songs (for example, a folksy cover of a Rihanna song because why the hell not) Open to many different genres: pop, soul, folk, blues, country, etc. Please be very comfortable singing in harmony. I'm also open to expanding into a band at some point, but just looking for a guitarist/singer for now. Also, I'm an intermediate guitar, uke, and keys player.
Couple things:
- The world is weird right now, so I don’t expect to perform any time soon. Also, I'm having a baby in August so just when the world may going back to normal, I'll be out of commission for a while. I absolutely 100% would want to perform at some point, I’m just acknowledging the reality of things. Maybe we record videos and establish a social media presence?
- I want to take this seriously, rehearse regularly, and work hard. But obviously for the foreseeable future, this would be just for the joy of making music with another person. I miss jamming with others so much and I'm bored with trying to go it alone.
- You must be covid safe. I totally get that some people are easing back into “normal” but my mom is severely immune compromised. Plus, the whole baby on the way thing. My bubble is very small and yours should be, too. I’d like to be able to have honest conversations about how we’re staying safe as we go about our individual lives and play music together! Bummer if this turns off a lot of people, but I just can’t risk it. I swear I’m more laid back than it probably seems.
If you’re the magical unicorn that ticks off all my annoying boxes, I would love to hear from you! Stay safe, y'all!
