AURORA, IL — An Aurora woman who was shot Saturday during a carjacking faces a long road to recovery, and her family is asking for the community's support to help her through the healing process. Kim Weibring, a 47-year-old mother of two boys, was eating in her SUV Saturday afternoon at a Wendy's restaurant when several men opened her door, put a gun to her head and forced her to the ground, Weibring's stepfather John Reincke told ABC 7 Chicago. $1M Bail For Aurora Man Accused Of Murder After Fatal Shooting One of the men then shot Weibring in the lower back before they fled the area in her red 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, which Aurora police were still searching for Wednesday. But above all else is Weibring's "devotion" and "powerful love" for her two sons. "She has a very full life, but those boys are her world," Ognie said.
