Interested in helping a nonprofit and gaining organization development skills? Apply to be on our board of directors! We are filling two, vacant terms beginning in March 2021, with one position ending in July 2021 and the other in July 2022. No previous board experience? No problem; learn as we grow. The Second Home School For Personalized Learning's mission is to provide socioeconomically disadvantaged students with a comfortable, stable, and individually relevant learning experience. Duties include: Attending, setting, and/or taking notes for meetings Communicating with board members and the executive director in a group chat occasionally Helpful skills, knowledge, and interests are: Fundraising and grantwriting Community outreach Corporate outreach Program development Unschooling and alternative school practices There are currently four mandatory meetings each calendar/financial year with the opportunity to have more if needed.
