Heights Libraries Consider Noble Branch Changes

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Noble branch of the Heights Libraries could soon undergo a significant change. The library system sent out a survey this week asking the branch's users what they would like to see from a bigger or different Noble branch. The library last expanded in 2011, after a $1 million construction project. Since then, a library official told Patch, the Noble branch has continued to grow in popularity. Pre-COVID, the library computers were "in constant use" and the children's and teen's areas were full after school. In addition to needing more space for kids and computers, the Noble branch does not have public meeting rooms. Since the branch serves Cleveland Heights' growing Nepalese refugee population, providing a public meeting space is crucial. Both the Lee Road branch and the University Heights branch offer public meeting rooms. "It is a heavily used building, and we want to make sure that we're serving people in that neighborhood as well as we can!" one library official said. Hey, Heights Libraries fans!
