Description

“It is ok to doubt what you have been taught” Unknown “We Repeat What We Don’t Repair” Christine Langley-Obaugh, M.Ed. 2021 is a year of change. We want freedom. We want independence. We want to be released from restrictions. Through the pandemic, many of us have realized something needs to be different. Any change first begins with an examination and an identification of what is not working. Join Christine Langley-Obaugh, M.Ed., CVA and Nina Gately, Certified Aromatherapist for a discussion about cognitive distortions, wrong indications, and codependent relationships. Catastrophizing, Personalizing, Blaming, Narcissism and Trauma Bonding will also be addressed. Ask yourself? What are your belief systems? Your Values? What mind story or narrative plays over and over in your head? What is your truth? Are you happy? What were you taught about partnerships? Have you settled in relationships? Do you put everyone before yourself? Are you constantly giving? Do you have a hard time saying no? What burdens are you carrying? Do you enjoy your job? Do you like where you live? Do you feel encouraged by your friends? What if you are meant for more? What if you are not the same person anymore? Many of us feel comfortable in the same place, doing the same thing, working the same job, connecting with the same people. However, understand when we are uncomfortable, we grow. This realization can lead us in new directions with new beginnings. There is no better time than now to start anew. This is an in-person workshop. Due to current COVID restrictions space is limited so we can follow CDC guidelines. Masks are required. Christine Langley-Obaugh holds her Master’s in Education in Community Agency Counseling from George Mason University. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Radford University. Christine is trained in both Life Stress Reduction and Traumatic Incident Reduction and has served as a Bereavement Counselor and Medical Social Worker for Blue Ridge Hospice and as a Psychotherapist for Crossroads Counseling. She is also a Virginia Supreme Court Certified Mediator and Certified in Integrative Energy Therapy. Christine offers stress, loss, and trauma reduction services through Applied Metapsychology without diagnoses. She is a proponent of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study. She is a facilitator, educator, consultant, and intuitive guide. She takes a trauma informed approach with the clients she serves and focuses on mind, body, and soul growth to empower her clients to self-heal and lead lives of authentic fulfillment. Nina Gately is a Certified Aromatherapist and owner of the YCBD Store in Winchester. She has, not only experienced firsthand, but also witnessed the power of plants, including essential oils as well as hemp derived products for stress reduction. Nina is passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge on how you can use natural resources to help you stay calm, cool and collected in a stressful situation as well as how to reduce the impact of emotional stress on your body.
