Join us for an enchanted evening of Magic, Mystery and Intrigue. February 13, 2021, from 8pm-11pm. We look forward to celebrating at the 2021 Jewel J. Newman Community MASKerade Ball & Silent Auction, Saturday-February 13, 2021, 8pm-11pm at the JJNCC, 2013 Central Road in Scotlandville. I am excited to seeing our guests attend and dressed exquisitely in formal/cocktail attire! We have secured a professional photographer, who for a nominal fee will capture you in elegant ware with coordinating masks. Our venue can hold 500 persons, however due to the pandemic, we are planning for 125 persons in attendance. We have TABLE PODS available for purchase at $50 per person. A "table pod" allows you to be seated with and only socialize with the guests at your table. Table pods may range from 4 to 8 persons per table, that us totally up to you. We will have individualized dinner preparation, along with temperature check at entrance, mandatory masks, and lots of sanitizer for your assurance. Join us, as we have planned for your well-being and enjoyment. Our event caterer is Victory's Catering, red carpet host in Tyressa Ty, stage host is Adonis "BIGG Sexy" Reed, and our musical performers are N'Tune. This year we will not be having a dance floor, however we will have live entertainment to follow dinner and our presentation of 13 members of the North Baton Rouge Blue Ribbon Commission, that served 2016-2020. Our decision to go as planned with the 2021 JJNCC MASKerade Ball & Silent Auction was predicated upon our ability to provide social distancing. Also, this will be the last JJNCC Masquerade Ball & Silent Auction. Once the pandemic is over, we will partner with the NBRNOW, Inc. to add a Mardi Gras Ball to their very successful Krewe of Oshun Parade. However, we do plan to transition with an Acie J. Belton Lifetime Achievement Award Banquet, to honor those that make long term significant improvements in Scotlandville and surrounding communities. Please consider being a TABLE POD HOST and secure your ticket purchases as soon as possible, on or before Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
