Reserve a seat at our exclusive six-course prix fixe private dinner, prepared and served by local chefs of the Lenexa Public Market. This year to accommodate COVID guidelines, we’ll be transforming the main market floor into a fine dining setting and offer carryout options. For the couples dining in, they will be sat at individual tables socially distanced from other guests. Guests will purchase a table for two or four people. For carryout, customers will select a pick-up time. To set the romantic mood, Talia Groves will perform with a piano accompaniment throughout your meal. Beverages: Water is included with the meal. Additional soft drinks and alcoholic beverages may be purchased separately from either Topp’d Pizza + Salads or Chewology {Gyoza Bar & Kushiyaki} for both dine in and to go orders. MENU - Each chef will personally present his or her dish starting at 6 p.m. Appetizer: Prawn sang choy bao by Chefs Katie Liu-Sung and Daniel Robert Crisp lettuce cups, juicy prawns, crunchy youtiao and water chestnutSoup Course: Caldo tlalpeño By Chef Alejandra Chicken, chickpeas, carrots, and green beans submerged in a chicken broth with garlic and onion. The soup is seasoned with epazote, cumin, and chipotle chili, and garnished with avocado and panela cheese.Salad Course: Pear and walnut salad by Chef Chad Talbott Pear, candied walnuts, and gorgonzola salad dressed with a raspberry vinaigretteMain Course: Chicken karahi by Chef Sohaila Humayon A dish named after the pan it's cooked in, a heavy cast iron wok. Boneless chicken cooked in a thick, tomatoey base with homemade spices and a fragrant finishing of serrano peppers, cilantro, and julienne ginger. Served over a bed of cumin fried rice.Dessert Course: by Chef Kate Smith A choice between: Mini French silk tart topped with meringue, a mini French chocolate eclair filled with a vanilla bean cream, and a red wine chocolate French macaron.A slice of Jo Ann Butterfield's famous carrot cake.After meal Coffee/Tea: Provided by The Roasterie TICKET DETAILS: Doors open at 5:15 p.m. for check in. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. Pick-up for carryout orders starts at 6:30 p.m. Carryout orders will pick a time slot for pick-up. Guests will check in or pick up carryout by the northeast entrance. Price: $50 per person for food only, does not include eventbrite fees. Minimum age: 21 years Registration deadline: 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2020 Refund policy: You must notify us before Feb. 9 at 11:59 p.m. to request a refund. Tickets are transferable to another individual after Feb. 9 at 11:59 p.m.
