Quincy Police Find 17-Year-Old Dorchester Shooting Victim

QUINCY, MA — Quincy police found a shooting victim inside a car Friday night following an incident that took place at approximately 6:47 p.m. on Ferndale Street in Dorchester, said Boston police in a news release. The victim has been identified as Akeem Polimis, 17, of Dorchester, said police. Polimis was found with apparent gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. Juan Nazario, 18, of Dorchester was arrested Saturday morning at approximately 11:30 a.m. in connection with the shooting and is facing charges of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition, said police. The incident remains under investigation by the Boston Police Homicide Unit, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office, and members of the Massachusetts State Police and the Quincy Police Department.
