Description
This is a registration page for reenactors wishing to take part in our Eastern Front event on Mar 6.
Museum of 20th Century Warfare and Ft Harrison State Park will be hosting a WWII Eastern Front Living History Weekend . This will again be a "rolling battle" with the public staged in viewing areas and opportunities to interact with them during medic station check-ins to recover before returning to the battle. S&A formation at 0900 please arrive in time to sign in and form up. Please register so we know how much food to have ready. Bring rations for a quick lunch in the field.
We will have heated barracks space (bare-B.Y own cot & sleeping gear). Arrival time can begin at Noon on Friday, Mar 5. (We will be observing any Covid precautions that Indiana requires at the time.) Outdoor camps or displays are welcome but you will need to provide for your own security during the day. Museum staff will prepare a simple meal this year due to Covid restrictions for after the battle or possibly during down times in the afternoon.
If you haven't been out to Ft. Harrison State Park for this before you've been missing a great event. The battle area features rolling wooded areas and 1930's era brick single story buildings with paved roads. We also have an established battlefield area with an above ground modified trench system. At the entry gate just let them know that you're there to participate in the event.
