Description
GERMANTOWN, MD — At a time of social unrest and deep political division in America, officials in Montgomery County are launching a series of online courses on conflict resolution.
The four workshops, dubbed the Peace by Peace Series, were created through a partnership between Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) and the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County.
The programs offer residents strategies on how to effectively communicate with a partner, friend, family member, acquaintance, or co-worker. Workshops are geared toward specific situations and age groups.
"During these stressful times, communication can be challenging," said MCPL Director Anita Vassallo. "MCPL is so delighted to be able to offer these timely workshops offering residents helpful techniques to effectively engage in conversations with individuals with opposing views while maintaining positive relationships."
