DENVER, CO — A man was charged in connection with the murder of 33-year-old Joshua Lockard, the Denver District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday. Benjamin Satterthwaite, 28, is accused of killing Lockard and then dismembering his body, the DA's office said. Parts of the corpse were put in two suitcases, which were found on the side of a road in southwest Denver, according to police. Police were called to the 1700 block of South Java Way in the city's Mar Lee neighborhood after they received a report of suspicious luggage beside the road. The cases were found by city employees. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner is still investigating the cause and manner of Lockard's death.
