SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests: On Jan. 11 at 5:32 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25-year-old male, Devone Ramsey of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Ramsey was served his complaint summons along with eight motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Jan. 12 at 8:17 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43-year-old male, Jose Aguirre-Aguirre of Elmhurst, NY and a 38-year-old male, Angel Arango Vaca of Elmhurst, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Mr. Aguirre-Aguirre and Mr. Arango Vaca were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody. On Jan. 12 at 3:10 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 40-year-old male, Dejurna Hamilton of Elizabeth, NJ for one outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Newark Municipal Court with no bail. Mr. Hamilton was served one motor vehicle summons and was subsequently transported to the Newark Police Department. On Jan. 12 at 6:32 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of an employee theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20-year-old male, Justin Casillas of Jersey City, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Casillas was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Jan. 12 at 8:01 p.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of 375 County Avenue. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24-year-old male, Divine Johnson of the Bronx, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Johnson was served his complaint summons along with two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Jan. 12 at 9:20 p.m., Secaucus Police observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Extended Stay America Hotel located at 1 Meadowlands Parkway where the occupant of the vehicle appeared to be slumped over the steering wheel. A well-being check was conducted with the occupant of the vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old male, Christopher Ferreira of the Bronx, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(3)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Ferreira was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Jan. 14 at 5:37 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Hudson Wines located at 865 Roosevelt Avenue on a report of a male who had threatened an employee with a knife. During the investigation, the police arrested a 67-year-old male, Alfred Viggiano of Secaucus, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, specifically a small handled axe [2C:39-5D], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, specifically a pocket knife [2C:39-5D], Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3B] and Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(3)]. On the same date, at 5:27 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Green Valley Court on a report of harassment. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Viggiano was further charged with Bias Intimidation [2C:16-1A(1)] and Harassment [2C:33-4A]. Mr. Viggiano was served his complaint warrant for both incidents and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. On Jan. 15 at 11:57 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious person in the area of Huber Street. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56-year-old male, Harry Normand-Hernandez of Jersey City, NJ for one outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff's Office with no bail. Mr. Normand-Hernandez was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Sheriff's Department. On Jan. 15 at 10:38 p.m., Secaucus Police was notified of a vehicle driving recklessly on the NJ State Turnpike, where the vehicle reported to strike a guardrail in the area of exit 15X. The involved vehicle subsequently struck a vehicle in the area of UPS Drive and County Avenue; the driver of the car he struck was injured. The police ultimately located the vehicle involved in the area of Centre Avenue and County Avenue. A motor vehicle stop of the vehicle was conducted. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Khamar Abnathya of Newark, NJ for Assault by Auto [2C:12-1C(2)] and Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Abnathya was issued his complaint warrant along with his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and an additional 8 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. On Jan. 16 at 9:20 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of 650 Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old male, Isaiah Nesbit of Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Montclair, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Nesbit was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date and was released from police custody. On Jan. 17 at 12:42 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a fight between 2 individuals. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old male, Sebastian Desormeaux of Hollis, NY for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing the police false information. Mr. Desormeaux was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Jan. 17 at 2:43 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Hyatt Place located at 575 Park Plaza Drive on a report of an individual refusing to leave the hotel. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old male, Stephen Scott of Syracuse, NY for Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3B]. Mr. Scott was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Jan. 17 at 9:07 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old male, Jeison Martinez-Diaz of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Monroe, NJ in the amount of $303.00. Mr. Martinez-Diaz was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
