Description
Calling all 4th-, 5th- and 6th-graders who love to write; this is the contest for you! It's time to start writing for the Plainfield Library's annual Short Story Contest.
This is your story, and it can be humor, mystery, fantasy, science fiction or anything you want, but it MUST BE YOUR OWN CREATION.
The last day to turn in submissions is Friday, January 29, 2021.
Stories will be judged on creativity and writing skill. Three winners will be chosen from each grade by Pablo Cartaya, author of "The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora," a 2020 Rebecca Caudill Award nominee.
More information about the Short Story Contest, as well as rules and regulations, is available on the Library's website.
