RAH Battle of the bands - looking for new bands to play

Once a year the Cedar Hill Elks - Rally Against Heroin does a big fundraiser to raise money and awareness against drugs and to help addicts get help. We also donate a portion to hospitals caring for babies born addicted. We do this by having a battle of the Bands. We generally have KSHE 95 stop in with Sweetmeat and that's always fun! So if you have a band that plays Rock or Alternative and would like to be in this and help us towards a good cause, please hit me up. Playing time is about 45 minutes. There will be 5 bands competing. You will need to have some sort of following as this is a big part of how the judging is done and how we raise the money. People will pay to vote for their pick of who should win. The date for this is Saturday April 24th and starts at 1PM and runs until about 9ish. The winner gets $500 and is asked to return October 2nd when we do our annual RIDE AGAINST HEROIN in which you will be the entertainment for the night and be paid $500 for that as well. Due to Covid hitting last year around this time we did not have the Rise Up...but the winner from the previous year was Hellen Back. Normally the winner is invited to run in the following year's event. Unfortunately they can not return this year as they are booked. I look forward to hearing from interested parties!
