Lead Vocalist for Rock/Country/Pop Band

We're recruiting one lead male and one lead female vocalist for a solid, agent-backed band to perform on average 2-3 times per month, sometimes more or less depending on the season, primarily in venues and special events that expect higher quality yet affordable bands. Ideally, successful candidates will also play keyboard or rhythm guitar, though we'd consider you without that if you are the right talent for the group. Our members may or may not be performing music for a living, which is expected, but they will have enough musical skill and commitment to learn new songs quickly and perform without an excessive amount of rehearsal. We want to have fun by providing a top-notch performance and interacting with our audience and each other. Though our main motivation is having fun, the kinds of musicians that we're looking for will expect a level of quality from themselves and each other that is required for higher paying gigs. There will be a strong emphasis on both male and female lead vocals and harmony, supported by strong instrumentals with a solid groove. We are looking for strong musicians who can learn new songs quickly and are committed enough to come to rehearsal prepared. Music will include a variety of pop/rock, contemporary country & blues tunes from the 1990's to today, along with a handful of older classics that everybody loves so that we have a variety to appeal to current and older generations. Original music is also welcomed and can be included in our set list with approval from the band members. We have already secured a professional agent (www.receptionjazz.com) who represents other high-quality groups in the metro area and have a solid marketing plan. The rehearsal space is safe & comfortable and will include high quality audio equipment. Our culture will be to work collaboratively as a team of friends with a shared desire for music quality and share responsibilities for both the music and business end of things to fit individual's strengths and preferences. This group will require a commitment of about one rehearsal per week, plus 2-4 performances per month once we get up and running.
