No one really wants to hire a nanny from Craigslist. Parents want an experienced nanny with a proven track record. (I have five years working for top nanny agency in California, where assignments lasted from one day to weeks, months, or a year. I also have local references and grew up in Connecticut.) People want a nanny who: Is responsible, reliable, respectful, and kind Speaks fluent English but can also work in bilingual families. Speak basic Spanish and understand French. Is certified in First Aid, CPR. (Yes, I am!) I pass all background checks including as recently as the last few weeks. People want a nanny who is in it for the pure and joyful love of children. (That’s me. :-) I am the mother of two grown daughters, still the lights of my life I have been in childcare for families for more than ten years and have experience with autistic children and other handicaps. I'm creative, fun, energetic, and know how to get kids on track without yelling or discipline; my kindness shows through and children are quickly comfortable with me. I listen and respect children and kids who are heard and understood usually want please their parents and caregivers. There are local agencies in Connecticut that have accepted me for placement, but they don't have placements where I want to work: between Fairfield County and Stonington, Connecticut. Guess what!!! You Found Me on Craigslist!! :-) I'm looking for a 30 hour placement from Fairfield County to Stonington. $25 an hour, more for challenging situations.
