Hello, I’m looking to adopt a medium-sized parrot into my home. I have a female African Grey and am looking for a companion that would live in a separate cage. Because I have a grey and they have powder down, I am only looking for Old World parrots (birds from Africa, Asia and Australia). I’m especially interested in Jardine’s, cape parrots and other poicephalus species (Meyer’s, Red-bellies, Senegals). Also interested in Alexandrines, ringnecks and mustache parakeets. I’m looking for a bird that is tame or can be tamed, and that is not aggressive with other birds. (I understand that all birds are individuals and that they often don’t get along.) I have an HQ cage and supplies. I have several years of experience with my grey and smaller poicephalus. Non-smoker, no kids, no cats (dogs only), vegetarian. Looking to adopt a bird that needs a home. Located in Minneapolis but willing to drive. Thank you.
