NEW HAVEN, CT — A Hamden man died after a crash late Saturday night in New Haven, according to police.
Tamango L. Housley, 24, was pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a crash that happened around 11:10 p.m., according to New Haven Police Capt. Anthony Duff.
Before the crash, Housley was driving a Honda Accord south on the I-91 Exit 1 ramp and approaching the intersection of North Frontage Road and Church Street, according to Duff.
As Housley began traveling west on North Frontage Road, he drove through the Church Street intersection in the middle lane and parallel to an unidentified vehicle to his left, Duff said.
Duff said Housley "lost control of his vehicle and collided with a concrete barrier on the shoulder of the roadway." His vehicle came to a stop outside an entrance/exit of the Temple Street Garage.
The New Haven police and fire departments responded to the crash scene and Housley was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he later died.
Investigators want to speak to the driver of the vehicle that drove alongside Housley's vehicle, according to Duff.
Anyone with information is asked to call the New Haven Police Department at 203-946-6316.
