Description
Where to begin? In the 90s Nirvana brought a heavy punk influenced type of rock into the mainstream. Curt Cobain had a deep love for punk. The music industry loved the record sales, gave it a name GRUNGE... and a wide range of rock bands that fit the bill received record contracts. Really good bands came out of that executive move: Weezer, Stone Temple Pilot, I'm trying to think if there was anything else as good. I know there was also a lot of worthless noise, no different from generations before where a great unique band kicks off a movement and record execs try to keep the money machine from stopping. Music is art from Mozart to Metallica, it's all about the emotions music produces. Didn't mean to rant.
The first punk rock band ever was the best. I listened again the other day and watched a Ramones' video. I'm pretty sure I'm right about that.
