Personal Care Assistants –  Home Care Aides Needed  for live-in care for a 50-something man with advanced MS at his Bethel home. The current plan is to hire one aide who will have a large, comfortable room at the home to live rent-free and work five days a week. Also looking for a second aide who will have their own smaller bedroom and live/work at the house during the weekend. I am an alert and active person but I use a power wheelchair and need care for nearly all daily/living activities: preparing meals, feeding, showering, toileting, grooming, driving and help with correspondence and creative work. I don't weigh much and own a Hoyer lift so I'm certain that a man or woman with some strength could carry out the tasks required. I am a (mostly) cheerful person who seeks as much independence as possible and wants to achieve much more in life despite my challenges. I want your work with me to be a pleasant and rewarding opportunity for all of us. Looking for people with proven, reliable work experience. This is not easy work – but if you’re a dependable person, need a place to live and like the idea of making a real difference in someone’s life – this could be a very rewarding job and a great experience for all of us. I’ll need to see references, a negative Covid test, a clean driving record and a sense of humor (& bonus points if you make a great Chicken Marsala).
