CONCORD, NH — A lucky New Hampshire lottery player is about $2 million richer after matching five of the Powerball numbers and taking the Power Play option on their numbers, which doubled the prize value, according to lottery officials. The ticket was purchased at Gomarlos Market on West Swanzey Road in West Swanzey. The odds of matching five numbers to win $1 million playing Powerball are 11.7 million to one. The state lottery also reported a $50,000 Powerball ticket sold at the Super Shell Food Mart on Harris Road in Nashua and a $10,000 Mega Millions ticket sold at the Circle K on Lafayette Road in Seabrook. Because there have been no winners since September, the jackpots of both Mega Millions, which will be drawn on Tuesday, and Powerball, which will be drawn on Wednesday, are increasing — Mega Millions is at $850 million, the third-highest jackpot in history, and Powerball is at $730 million, the sixth-highest.
