LOS ANGELES, CA — A section of Broadway in downtown Los Angeles will be closed Tuesday for road work. The stretch of Broadway, between 111th Place and Imperial Highway, is scheduled to be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Department of Public Works. Motorists are encouraged to use Main or Figueroa streets to avoid the closure. Crews will "slurry seal" the road, a process of applying a mixture to asphalt pavement surface to preserve and protect it. —City News Service
