WGYC invites you to “share the love” by donating essential items for Arizona’s foster children. ​There are over 15,500 foster children currently in the system and more are added every day. When a child enters the system, they often take very little (if anything) with them in terms of worldly possessions. “A Mighty Change of Heart” supports foster children by providing a personalized duffle bag filled with new clothes, toys and toiletries. Their goal is to provide each child with something they can truly call their own. Items most needed today: diapers (lots of them!) , clothing and shoes for boys and girls ages 0-10, underwear, socks and toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes and body wash. We also need fleece/plush blankets and books. All new donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated! Things we have plenty of today: Teenage girl’s clothes, stuffed animals, and teenage shoes thanks to some very generous donations. *Please register so we know how many duffle bags we can fill. *We ask that you donate only new items, rather than gently used. We will have the latest products available for viewing and light refreshments if you can stay and catch up. Or just drop and run. Drop off is on Friday, February 12th from 12pm -3pm. For your convenience, we have three drop off locations across the valley.
