LAKEWOOD, OH — State Senator Nickie Antonio will serve as the ranking Democratic Member of the Transportation and Health committees during the 134th General Assembly. Antonio, who calls Lakewood home, is the Minority Whip. She is also set to serve on the following committees: finance, rules and reference, ways and means, and workforce and higher education. "I appreciate the honor and responsibility of being in a leadership position on these Senate Committees and am eager to continue the important work for the people of Ohio, especially those from Senate District 23," Antonio said. Committee assignments generally correspond to a senator's policy interests and give them opportunities to influence, alter or debate legislation during the initial phase of lawmaking.
