I am a metal detecting enthusiast who needs your permission to search for Colonial relics on your property. If you own property that goes into the woods, surrounded by stone walls and or used to be farmland you most likely have Colonial relics on your property. I prospect for old home sites during the cold months and metal detect when the ground has thawed. Those stone walls are unique to New England and are reminders that our Colonial forefathers worked hard to clear the land settle this land during the early to mid 1700’s. They’ve left behind other artifacts including silverware, bullets, buttons, and sometimes coins. If you have a large tract of land that goes deep into the woods and are interested to learn more please let me know. All artifacts and relics will be donated in your name to your local historical foundation, if they will take them. I just collect coins.
